Builder.io

For product, design, and frontend teams who need to generate and iterate production UI on a connected Git repo—not a greenfield Lovable sandbox and not mockups-only. Builder.io Fusion is a visual IDE with AI Agent credits, Figma/VS Code hooks, and multiplayer editing on your design system; Publish CMS can pair with Fusion. Prefer Lovable for hosted apps with no repo, or TeleportHQ/Framer for site builders without Fusion’s code-first loop.

Use it when

You want AI and visual editing on your real frontend codebase—and you’re ready to budget Agent credits beyond Free’s exploration pool.

What it does well

  • Fusion visual IDE: connect Git, edit visually, and spend Agent credits on generative UI work in-repo
  • Free: ~60 monthly Agent credits, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Figma plugin, VS Code extension, up to ~5 users/space
  • Pro: ~500 Agent credits/user/mo, rollovers, on-demand credits, built-in MCP servers, standard support
  • Team: roles (Admin/Developer/Designer/Editor), peer reviews, Slack/JIRA agents, custom MCP, priority support
  • Optional Publish CMS path for content teams; Enterprise for SSO, privacy mode, and design-system intelligence

Skip it when

  • Free’s ~60 monthly Agent credits won’t cover daily shipping—upgrade or wait for resets (no Free top-ups)
  • You need Designer/Editor roles, reviews, or Slack/JIRA agents—those start at Team
  • You want a no-repo prompt-to-hosted MVP—use Lovable or Bolt instead
  • You’re only making static mockups—Figma alone may be enough
  • New Publish CMS needs may be sales-led—don’t assume self-serve Fusion pricing covers every Publish case

Fits your workflow

Connect the repo in Fusion → generate/iterate with Agent credits → review in Builder → merge via normal Git. Pull Fusion components into Publish when marketers need a visual CMS. Keep Figma for system craft when needed.
