Placeit

Use it when

You need store-ready mockups, logo variants, or short marketing videos from templates—especially apparel, merch, and product listings—without booking a photoshoot.

What it does well

• Large mockup library for apparel, lifestyle, digital, and print-on-demand style product shots
• Logo and ready-to-use video templates alongside static design templates in one subscription
• Browser drag-and-drop customization with high-resolution downloads (PNG mockups; MP4 video)
• Paid Unlimited unlocks unlimited downloads and commercial usage—no per-asset credit meter
• Straightforward Unlimited access—one paid tier covers the full mockup, logo, and video library (monthly or yearly)

Skip it when

• You need Printify-style fulfillment—Placeit makes visuals, it does not print or ship
• Free watermarked downloads cannot ship to clients or store listings
• You want deep brand-system editing in Canva, Figma, or Illustrator rather than template slots
• You need multi-seat team billing and shared workspaces (single Unlimited seat model)
• Your job is UI product design or design-to-code, not merch/marketing mockups

Fits your workflow

Pick a mockup, logo, or video template → drop in artwork and tweak text/colors → download PNG/MP4 → use in Etsy/Amazon listings, ads, or proposals. Stay Free only while testing styles; subscribe Unlimited for clean commercial files. Pair with a separate POD printer when you actually manufacture goods.
