Artboard Studio

Use it when

You need realistic device or product mockups for case studies, Behance/Dribbble posts, or client decks, and can start on the free item subset before unlocking the full library.

What it does well

• Large mockup library across devices, apparel, packaging, print, and branding; place stills or video on surfaces and export (FAQ: PNG/JPEG/WEBP and MP4/WEBM)
• Free account: some library items are explicitly tagged FREE and usable without a subscription; this review’s free downloads had no watermark
• Premium (subscription) and Lifetime Mockup: unlock all mockup items, unlimited image/video exports and uploads, high-resolution exports, Figma and Express plugins
• Commercial license called out on the upgrade modal for subscription plans; AI mockup generation is a separate AI Credits purchase path (Free balance showed 0/0 with no starter grant)

Skip it when

• You need the full catalog on day one—billing copy: upgrade to unlock mockup access; most thumbnails show a lock until Premium/Lifetime
• You expect free AI credits—the Free billing panel showed 0/0 AI credits with no allotment until you buy AI Credits
• You need AI ecommerce product photography / on-model generation (Flair) rather than placing your art onto mockup templates
• You only need a one-off device frame and already have a free Figma community mockup that fits

Fits your workflow

Open the editor → add FREE-tagged items → drop screens or video → export. Upgrade to Premium or Lifetime when locked items block the presentation, or when you need plugins and high-res unlimited exports. Buy AI Credits only if you use the AI mockup generator. Confirm Lifetime vs subscription inclusions (team seats appear on Premium) before you pay.
